My love for Montana, and particularly the Billings area has just continued to grow through the years.  Funny, just now as I’m typing, I glanced out the window and a mother doe along with her two fawns just bounded down the road in my neighborhood. That’s just one of the many things I love about this city.  I’ve compiled a list of the top 8 reasons why Billings was the best move my family and I ever made. I hope it helps any of you considering a change!

1)      The People: This was the first thing that caught my attention when I moved here. I thought, are the people always this               friendly or is this going to wear off in time? I’ve been here for over 6 years now and the people are down-right amazing.           Helpful, kind and laid-back.

2)      The Skies: They don’t call it Big Sky country for no reason! I don’t know what it is exactly that makes our skies so                       beautiful, but I’m a sunset fanatic and I’ve witnessed the most incredible ones here in Billings.

3)      Recreation: Billings has plenty to offer in this area and not only that, it’s surrounded by so many other beautiful areas to           hike, ski, fish, hunt, site-see, you name it. Also, did you know that we are only 3 ½ hours from Yellowstone National Park?

4)      Employment: The industry is booming here and finding a job is not difficult to do. There is something for everyone.

5)      Housing: The average home price in Billings is around $250,000. If you’re currently living in the Denver area, or in                       California I know that number has a very sweet sound to you!

6)      Schools: Billings offers great schools and is a great place to raise a family.

7)      Wildlife: I already mentioned this above, but I can’t get enough of the wildlife here! Deer, antelope, wild turkey, rabbits,               elk (in surrounding areas) and even wild peacocks! We see deer on a daily basis come through our yard and our                       children have named two wild rabbits (that practically live in our yard) fluffy and fuzzy.

8)      The Weather: You’re probably thinking I’m crazy because Montana= Snow to most people. Yes, we do get quite a bit of             snow (but I don’t complain about the white stuff, I love it). However, Spring, Summer and Fall are absolutely gorgeous               here. I especially love the fall season; the weather tends to be perfect and the changing colors are beautiful.

Feel free to contact me with any questions if you're considering the move, I’m always happy to help!
